Who is Hurley Haywood?

Hurley is a living legend.  From 1969 to 2012, one of the most successful “Endurance Racing Drivers” of all-time!  In 1999 Porsche named Hurley ‘Chief Driving Instructor’ for Porsche’s Sports Driving School.

When people hear the name Hurley Haywood, they immediately think of Brumos Racing.  Hurley’s association with Brumos began in 1969 and continues to this day.  He built his career and made history behind the wheel of the famous #59 Brumos Porsche.  The number of significant wins and championships that he accumulated throughout his career made him a “legend” and one of the most successful endurance racing drivers of all time.

Over the past 60+ years 3 sports car endurance races have become legendary; Le Mans 24 hours, Sebring 12 hours and the Rolex 24 at Daytona, they are referred to as the ‘Triple Crown’.  Amazingly only 9 drivers have won all 3 races: Hans Herrmann, Hurley Haywood, AJ Foyt, Al Holbert, Andy Wallace, Mauro Baldi, Jackie Oliver, Marco Werner and Timo Bernhard.  Hurley won 10 ‘Triple Crown’ races, more than any other driver.
